Our very first lot from Brazil since we opened PAGA come from a world famous brazilian farm where the coffee is produced with only the finest quality and commitment to sustainability. Daterra is one of the most sophisticated coffee farms from Brazil and there is no surprise that Rainforest Alliance has certified all their coffee farms since 2003. It is located near the city of Patrocanio, in the state of Minas Gerais, region of Cerrado. Dattera cultive coffee on fertile land and flat, ideal for growing coffee and making it possible into a coffee producing system have turned the farm into an intensive network lots, all monitored individually having automated irrigation systems to ensure ideal nutrients and water make it to the plants themselves.

/Daterra Collection: Summer Solstice/

Daterra’s offering is very complex and unique, separated into three tiers available: Masterpieces, Collections and Classics. Summer Solstice is a coffee that’s designed by Daterra to have a bright complexity with tropical fruits and berries notes, grapes and honey like sweetness with a beautiful malic acidity and heavy mouthfeel. This microlot is made only from dried-on-tree cherries. When it comes to the process, Daterra team members will evaluate  each different lot to the cherries and proceed with the harvest in small batches to strategize on when to harvest each individual lot and varietal ensure peak timing.. After being pulped it is dried on the patio + drum drier.
